The County of Vermilion River Region has an educated and motivated labour force. The County is home to one of two Lakeland College campuses in the Town of Vermilion with the other located an hour away in the City of Lloydminster.

Our Research Centre and G.N. Sweet Livestock Research Facility at the Vermilion campus are testbeds for innovations in integrated renewable energy systems, bioenergy, livestock research and crop research.
