Step 2: Register or Express Interest

Once you've found the training opportunity that interests you, complete the Fire Training Interest Form. For scheduled courses, this will initiate the registration process. For TBD or interest-based courses, your form submission will help us gauge overall interest.

Step 3: Get Approval

Some training registrations may require approval from your department Chief. ALL training registrations require final approval from the County Fire Chief. We'll notify you as soon as a decision is made.

  • Medical First Responder Training:
    • Department-Hosted: If your department has sufficient members to conduct its own MFR course, PV Fire instructors are available to travel to your location.
    • Instructor Training: If you're interested in becoming an MFR instructor, PV Fire plans to offer an instructor course in 2025. To express your interest, please fill out the Fire Training Interest Form.

STARS air ambulance is going to putting on a course on how they expect fire departments to pick a landing zone as well as markers, PPE, hand signals and overall safety when landing an air ambulance at the scene of a incident.
