The County of Vermilion River Rural Crime Watch Association
January 11 2024The County of Vermilion River Rural Crime Watch Association is the amalgamation of Kitscoty & District Rural Crime Watch and Vermilion & Area Rural Crime Watch Associations as of January 2021.
The expanded association covers the County through the active participation of many citizens who are concerned about crime prevention. The focus is on reducing crime in our rural areas and communities.
It is not possible for RCMP members to be always present and visible in the rural areas, therefore it is up to members to accept responsibility for our mutual welfare and protection. This involves being alert to potential crime, willing to work together, keeping an eye out for one another’s well being, as well as supporting our RCMP detachments.
Our Voyent Fan-Out System is a unique means of communication for current events, information, and crime updates. The phone and text fan-outs provide details about incidents that could affect you, such as a theft occurring in your area, a break and enter, door to door fraud, telemarketing scams as well as information designed to keep you and your loved ones safe and secure.
Be involved, join today, willingly participate, attend general meetings. Guest speakers are in attendance with information and ideas to keep you informed and updated.
Your membership is vital to the success of the association. Contact these members to join and have your questions and concerns addressed.
