Credit Card Payments


The County is now accepting credit card payments using OptionPay - a third party software provider. For a small fee, OptionPay provides residents with another convenient method of payment for water bills, gas bills, taxes, development fees, county maps and more. OptionPay uses a tiered fee schedule to collect a load fee on each transaction. Click here for the full tiered fee schedule.

By selecting the correct payment type from the drop down menu (once you are in the OptionPay software), and following the step by step instructions below, the County can ensure proper processing of your online credit card payment.     

GAS BILL         

 Step 1: Select UTILITIES as your payment type from the drop down menu.
 Step 2: Enter your account number.  This can be found in 3 places on your gas bill.

If you are paying more than one account, please enter the account numbers and the corresponding amounts in the comments box.

 

 

 

WATER & SEWER BILL

Step 1: Select UTILITIES as your payment type from the drop down menu.
Step 2: Enter your account number.  This can be found in 2 places on your water and sewer bill.

 

 

 

 

TICKETS/FINES   

Step 1: Select TICKETS/ FINES as your payment type from the drop down menu.
Step 2: Enter your Bylaw Tag number found at the top of your bylaw ticket.
* You cannot pay provincial tickets, fines or photo enforcement penalties using this site.

 

 

 

 

TAXES

 Step 1: Select TAXES as your payment type from the drop down menu.
 Step 2
: Enter your Roll Number.  This can be found in 2 places on your tax notice

 * If you are paying more than one roll number, please enter the roll numbers and the corresponding amounts in the comments box.

 

 

 

PERMITS/LICENSES

Step 1: Select PERMITS/ LICENSES as your payment type from the drop down menu.

Step 2: Enter what it is you are paying in the description field. (ie. dog license, subdivision application, permit etc).
Step 3: If further details are required, please enter into the comments box.

OTHER

You may also remit payment for a variety of other goods and services, including: 

  • Accounts Receivable Invoices
  • Strychnine (Waiver & Use Agreement forms must be filled out and submitted to payments@county24.com in order for payments to be processed) 
  • County Maps
  • Bulk Water and more!

Step 1: Select OTHER as your payment type from the drop down menu.
Step 2: Enter what it is you are paying in the description field (ie. accounts receivable, strychnine, map, bulk water etc).
Step 3: If further details are required, please enter into the comments box.  When paying for BULK WATER, please ensure to include your name as well as your company name.

*At this time, the County of Vermilion River does not accept online credit card payments for the purchase of snow plow flags. 

 

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS 
Please be advised that the County of Vermilion River does not provide refunds or process cancellations for transactions made using OptionPay.  Once you have consented to processing your credit card payment and remitted the associated load fee, the charge is irreversible.
