Vermilion Golf & Country Club

Lea Park Golf Course 

  • 9 holes at Lea Park on the banks of the Saskatchewan River.

Kitscoty Golf Course

  • 9 hole undulating course with sand greens just south of the village.  Carts available and booking not required. (780) 846 2950

Rolling Green Fairways 

  • 18 hole, grass greens with pro shop and licensed clubhouse just West of Lloydminster.  Family owned and operated.  Themed club nights, tournaments and banquet availability for 20-300 people.  See website for booking information

Parks and Viewpoints


Vermilion Provincial Park

Campground with 124 sites, some fully serviced.  Many miles of paved and scenic hiking and biking trails traversing the Vermilion River valley.  Fish in the Claude Brennan Trout pond, or visit the splash park or mini golf. In winter the area hosts the Vermilion Nordic Ski Club and 10km of tracked ski trails.  


Jubilee Regional Park

Located at the junction of the Vermilion and the North Saskatchewan Rivers, Lea Park boasts a number of activity options for the whole family: Camp out, paddle, fish, golf, or climb to the top of Snake Hill viewpoint.  Also home to the Lea Park Rodeo (one of the largest outdoor rodeos in Alberta) each June. Lindsay A. Evans Regional Park

Lindsay A. Evans park

A tranquil setting for bird watching, picnics and even some canoeing.  Open day use only 7am-11pm from June 1 to after the Sept long weekend. Located south of Kitscoty off Hwy 897, West on TWP 490 for 3.5 miles and it is on your left between RR 34 and 35). Alcohol not allowed. The park is named for Lindsay A. Evans (1891-1976) - a renowned local artist and nature lover dedicated to enhancing his community.  Definitely a great little gem in our County! Google Maps link HERE


McNabb Wildlife Sanctuary

If you are looking for a quiet spot to connect with nature, check out the McNabb Wildlife Sanctuary: bird watching, deer, wildlife and more!  Located at SE-18-49-5-W4M (TWP 492 and RR 55; southeast of Vermilion).  Operated by the County of Vermilion River on land donated by Mr. Colin McNabb in 1992. Marwayne Trestle Bridge

This beautiful old trestle bridge was part of the CP rail line and can be found near TWP 532 and 530 on RR 34 (northwest of Marwayne) Google Maps link HERE



Winter Activities

Mount Joy Snow Resort

Family friendly, volunteer-run snow resort offering downhill skiing and snowboarding on weekends throughout the winter.  Lessons and rentals available on site and a cosy day lodge with catering Just 20 minutes SW from Lloydminster 

Vermilion Nordic Ski Club

Based out of the renovated 1905 CN Station, located in the Vermilion Provincal Park.  Extensive groomed trail network for both classic and skate skiiling.  Lessons, tours and competitions throughout the season. Trail fees are collected by donation 

Seppala Siberian Tours
