Please ensure all permitted fires are completely extinguished and all smoking material is out or disposed of in a burn proof container rather than tossing onto the ground or out a vehicle window.

Conditions of fire permits and fire bans must be followed. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of $300 to $500.

Fire Permits are required Year Round.  Fire permits are issued through the County office 780-846-2244, 780-853-5492 or by contacting your Councillor.  Applicants must have access to a fax machine/email to apply for a permit over the phone.  MORE DETAILS on PERMITS here.

FIRE SAFETY PLAN (for Businesses and Public Buildings):

The implementation of the Fire Safety Plan helps to ensure effective utilization of life safety features in a building to protect people from fire. The required Fire Safety Plan should be designed to suit the resources of each individual building or complex of buildings. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the information contained within the Fire Safety Plan is accurate and complete.
