The County of Vermilion River, as custodian of local roads within our municipality, is committed to constructing and maintaining them to a standard capable of accommodating all types of vehicular traffic.

This department is responsible for many other functions associated with roads such as maintenance of ditches, brushing roadsides, sign installation, and road upkeep of our attractive hamlets.

The County of Vermilion River has approximately 5250 kilometers of roads that it maintains annually (not including Provincial Highways) and if you were to lay all the roads out end to end, you could travel to New York!
