The County has had its COR (Certificate of Recognition) since 2000, which is needed to keep our Gas Utility operating within industry.

In order to maintain a Certificate of Recognition, The County Audits itself every two years, which includes interviewing staff regarding the County Safety Program and ensuring all paperwork is in place and available to anyone looking for it.  We also participate in external audits that are done every third year.  The County also ensures that all Contractors working for us either have their own safety program or engages in ours.

In order to be a contractor for the County you must provide for us:

  • Current Copy of Alberta Workers Compensation
  • Copy of Commercial General Liability Insurance (Minimum $2,000,000)
  • Copy of Carrier Profile from Alberta Transportation Vehicle Safety and Carrier Services.

(This document is only required of contractors who have vehicles registered over 11,794kg.)
